Fitting seamlessly between the camera and battery system, the FS-T1001 interfaces with the camera's HD-SDI port and records industry-standard XDCAM EX video directly to a removable SxS Pro or SxS-1 solid-state memory card.
Record XDCAM EX Video on Solid-State Recording Media
With the FS-T1001, you can record XDCAM EX files - the industry standard for professional video production - using HDCAM, XDCAM HD, or other HD-SDI XDCAM EX-based devices. Content is recorded on a removable SxS Pro of SxS-1 solid-state memory card using the same recording format and directory structure that other XDCAM EX devices use, making your files compatible with a wide range of camcorders, decks, media servers, and editing software.
Mount the Compact FS-T1001 on Your Camera
Designed from the ground up to be easily mounted on cameras that utilize the Sony BP-L (V mount) battery system, the lightweight FS-T1001 sits between the camera and the battery system, adding only 2.5" (63.5mm) to the length of the camera (with battery). The FS-T1001 consumes only 10 watts of power from the battery system and passes power through the camera, making operation extremely efficient. A single HD-SDI cable connects the FS-T1001 to your camera, and provides audio, video, timecode, and ancillary data, enabling the camera to start and stop recording.

From recording to generating dailies to editing, FS-T1001 makes it easy to produce professional video with ground-breaking efficiency. Audio, video, and timecode will match the same video recorded on HDCAM tape or XDCAM HD optical disc, enabling the FS-T1001 to be seamlessly integrated into your workflow process.
View and Manage Thumbnails
With it's bright OLED display, the FS-T1001 makes it easy to view and manage video clip thumbnails. The convenient thumbnail menu provides a thumbnail of each clip, along with the clip's anme and duration
Camera Mount XDCAM EX Recorder
- Control the FS-T1001 quickly and easily using the capacitive buttons and intuitive menu structure
- Never miss a shot with retro-cache recording (up to 10 seconds)
- View menus and thumbnails on the built-in 2.4" color OLED display, from any angle
- Use the Express 34 memory-card slot to record XDCAM EX video on removable SxS media
- Mount SxS cards to a computer (slave mode) and connect accessories (host mode) using the dual USB ports
- Connect to a wide array of cameras (input) and monitors (output) using the HD-SDI I/O ports
- Connect to an HD-SDI monitor for playback
